Loading of SoftGenesis is fast if we count on amount of data that is being processed.
As example take a look at this test:
Test Computer:
Pentium IV 2.4 GZ
GeForce 4 64 MB
256 MB RAM
Test Data:
While Loading SG in this test:
Total loading time is showed on the bottom of the screen (red letters) after
SG is started. Please, read it and send me info about loading time and computer
configuration.
Note that first starting of SG takes much more time in order to convert textures
to internal SG format - TEX.

Loading of SoftGenesis is fast if we count on amount of data that is being processed.
As example take a look at this test:
Test Computer:

Test Data:
While Loading SG in this test:
- initializes 110 MB of memory
- creates graphics user interface, renders all buttons, tabs, setting color
- loads 300 objects and bricks (houses, tunnels, trees, cars)
- initialize and setup OpenGL interface
- loads 10.000 km2 world
- loads 250 cells
- setup camera
- initialize layers, current texture, surfaces, database manager
- creates LOG file
- login current user
- creates tree for cells and objects
- creates all libraries: sets/cells/objects/bricks/textures/bones/zones/project.
- loads modules
